Apple Vision on iPhone and Google ML Kit on Android read prices on-device. Captured camera images are not uploaded through the camera flow.
How Prymo handles the information needed to help you understand prices, convert currencies, and travel with confidence.
We collect only what is needed for the feature you choose.
Apple Vision on iPhone and Google ML Kit on Android read prices on-device. Captured camera images are not uploaded through the camera flow.
Text or screenshots you share to Prymo from another app are read on your device to find prices. They are not uploaded.
On a trip, Ask Prymo sends your question, today's plan and the name of the area you are in, after you agree. The area name comes from an approximate location on your device, only if you allow it; coordinates are never sent.
Trips are stored on our server under a random installation identifier, with your passport's issuing country if you add it, never its number. Deleting a trip in the app deletes it from the server.
An image is uploaded only when you explicitly attach it to a feedback report.
Online requests may contain currency codes, numeric amounts, and rate metadata needed to return a conversion.
Matching webpage text is processed in Safari. Prymo does not send your browsing history or webpage contents to the API.
Reference exchange rates are retrieved through the Prymo API from Frankfurter, which publishes reference data from central-bank sources including the European Central Bank. Rates are informational and may differ from your bank, card network, merchant, or final settlement amount.
Prymo Plus purchases are handled by Apple or Google Play and by RevenueCat, our subscription provider. RevenueCat receives a random installation identifier and your purchase records, never your name or payment details.
On Android, Google ML Kit, which reads prices on your device, sends Google diagnostic and usage information about the text reader, such as device and app details and performance metrics. It does not send your images or the text it reads.
Prymo uses Google Firebase Analytics and Crashlytics to count which features are used and to fix crashes. They receive app events (for example "a plan was made", with the destination country and number of days), crash reports, device and app details, and a random app-instance identifier. They never receive what you type, your name, your location or the advertising identifier. Firebase Cloud Messaging delivers occasional news from Prymo if you allow notifications.
The Android app has no accounts. To delete the server data for your installation, email us; on iPhone, users who sign in with Apple can delete their account in the app.
Prymo does not sell personal information.
We do not use camera images or browsing contents for advertising.
